Come on. Don’t judge me. If you were given the chance to sleep with your teen idol, you would’ve taken it as well. In my defense, I don’t think I’ve ever needed someone as much as I needed him that night. Well, that midnight. Because it was midnight. I had a lot to drink that night and don’t remember much but arriving at his house and being taken to bed in his brawny arms, I remember very well.

After that, I can recall everything we did. In my defense, it’s only been three days. I can’t stop thinking about how his mouth toured my body and how his skilled fingers slid inside me repeatedly. I fell into a trance and walked in a fragile line. I wasn’t pretending like I’m doing right now.

Telling him to forget set a fire within me. I know who he is. The entire world knows he’s a womanizer. But damn, he sure earned the title. Because he had me possessed and at his mercy.

I will never recover from him. I will forever compare every future sexual experience I have to this one. And I fucking hate him for it. Even when we’ve been in a truce and we haven’t fought in days.

It’s been a strange change of pace, but it’s working for us. Weirdly enough.

Travis didn’t say it, but I know that when we got back to his house after the studio the other day, he wanted me to go with him back to his bedroom. I felt it in my bones, but I challenged my impulses and went straight to bed. I was aching for him. Even when he saw my scar and I almost stood up and left him naked and alone, I still wanted him on top of me.

It was physically painful.

Only my close family knew about my story with Colton. I’m not proud of it, and it was a short-lived fling. Sometimes I think that I pursued that relationship just because I craved to feel something, and he was the only dude around. He just happened to be a criminal. And I’m lucky I got out in time before getting tangled in his shit.

“Earth to Emilia… Emilia? Emilia!”

I react to my brother’s hand on my face and come back to life. He came over an hour ago, so I would help him check his resume. He’s trying to find a job as a production assistant. He’s always been interested in filmmaking.

“What is it?” I look up from the laptop and push his arm away.

“I said, what are you planning to get Grandma for her birthday? It’s this weekend, and mom told me she’s sad we can’t travel and that maybe we can send her something. What do you think?”

I sigh and shut down the laptop.

“I don’t know. What if she cries? I called her the other day, and it broke my heart to have to hang up, but I had to go back to the studio.
